About me
Dr. Starla Townsend is a forward-thinking educational leader with a strong track record of modernizing instruction through innovative technology integration and instructional design. As the Director of Instructional Technology for Cobb County Schools, she brings over two decades of experience in K–12 education, higher education, and curriculum development. She also currently serves as a part-time instructor in Georgia’s BEST program at the University of West Georgia, a graduate program designed to support teachers in Cobb County Schools.
Dr. Townsend holds a Doctorate in Instructional Technology and multiple advanced degrees in education and business. Dr. Townsend has served as an assistant professor, business educator, and instructional specialist and has been consistently recognized for her leadership, creativity, and commitment to student success. Her passion lies in designing transformative learning experiences that prepare learners for the demands of the 21st century.
