About me
Johnelia Wilkerson is an Elementary Physical Education Teacher in the Cobb County School District. She has over 30 years of teaching experience which includes High School Coaching, Interrelated Special Education and Middle School Science. She is a Teacher Leader with the Teacher-Support Coach endorsement, Wellness Coordinator for Birney Elementary School, New Teacher Academy Instructor, and a Health teacher with the Cobb Virtual Academy. These teaching experiences has led her to one conclusion about being a great teacher: having passion. Passion gives us the enthusiasm to give our very best, try new things and continued hope to make a difference. The intended focus on the presentation “The Diary of an Innovative Educator” is to begin a conversation among educators about how innovative methods of teaching fueled by passion may provide a blueprint for every student to succeed.
