Journaling in Science

This session is for educators who want to foster a deeper connection between science and literacy, encourage students to communicate ideas clearly and effectively through journaling in a science notebook. Using the 5E's and 3D models, Teachers will engage students by combining scientific inquiry and literacy skills to document, observe, form hypothesis, experiment, and experience science concepts while improving writing, critical thinking, and their reflective abilities.
 By combining textual and visual representations, students improve their ability to convey scientific ideas effectively thus deepening their understanding of conceptual science knowledge.
