Leveraging Canva to Bridge Literacy Gaps in the Science Classroom
Thursday May 29, 2025 9:45am - 11:00am EDT
Educators must find innovative ways to integrate literacy into science instruction to enhance student comprehension and engagement. Canva, a powerful design tool, provides an accessible solution for
merging these disciplines through interactive, student-centered
instructional strategies. This workshop, led by both an ELA and a
science teacher, will demonstrate how Canva can support literacy in science instruction. The ELA teacher will model how to leverage
students' Beacon (or any equivalent assessment) data to
supplement the science teacher’s instruction, ensuring targeted
literacy support within scientific content.
